Does Downpour require an internet connection?
No. Everything is simulated on your device in real time. You do not need an active internet connection to use the app.
Does it stop when I lock my phone?
The audio keeps playing even when your screen is locked. The visual simulation will pause to save battery and resume immediately when you unlock your phone.
Will it drain my battery?
While real-time GPU simulation requires more power than a simple audio loops app, we've heavily optimized the Metal shaders for efficiency. Lowering your screen brightness helps extend battery life during long visual sessions, and locking the screen uses virtually no extra power.
